Again, this year Torben Fog and Erik Trier's Foundation has awarded a young researcher in the field of multiple sclerosis, and this year the grant was awarded to Postdoc Mads Alexander Just Madsen from the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (DRCMR). Mads receives the award in order to continue his research on the influence of cortical lesions - a highly under-appreciated pathologic marker of multiple sclerosis - on clinical disability, using ultra-high-field magnetic resonance imaging.
