The Centre for Functional and Diagnostic Imaging and Research, of which the DRCMR is a part of, is receiving 3 new MR-scanners in the fall of 2022. The new scanners replace 3 old scanners that are now outdated. The new scanners are two Siemens 3T Vida MR-scanners and one Siemens 1.5T Sola MR-scanner.

In order to maintain a minimal level of clinical workflow, the scanners are being installed in two phases. In the first phase, one 3T and one 1.5T scanner will be replaced and in the second phase one 1.5T scanner will be replaced by a 3T scanner.

The first two new magnets arrived this week and are expected to be operational by the end of October. The third new scanner is expected to be operational in the beginning of January 2023.
