Since their release in 2011, there were approximately 500 weekly views of educational YouTube videos on MRI techniques made by Lars G. Hanson from the DRCMR and DTU Elektro.
The total viewing time now amounts to more than four full months (time well spent, of course...).
The most popular of the videos concern simulation of Compass Magnetic Resonance which is a simple phenomenon similar to nuclear magnetic resonance. This interactive simulation is aimed for day 1 of MR education. The software was recently re-implemented for modern browsers and devices that support HTML5, e.g. recent Firefox and Chrome. CompassMR is now also available as a free Android app (more platforms will follow when feedback is sufficient).
Four videos demonstrating the much more advanced Bloch Simulator were seen almost equally many times.
Thanks goes to the numerous people who promoted the written material, videos and freely available software demonstrated in the videos. This has helped making the DRCMR site an established resource for education in NMR and MRI.
